LSSTF CEO, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, Honored with “Lifetime Guardian & Excellence” Award by JOI Ambassadors Summit Delegation

onant recognition of a decade of mentorship and impact, the Joshua Oyeniyi International (JOI) Foundation has conferred the prestigious “Lifetime Guardian and Excellence Award” upon Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF).
The award presentation took place during a high-profile courtesy visit to the LSSTF headquarters in Lagos, led by Dr. Joshua Oyeniyi, the Convener of the Ambassadors Summit and Nigeria’s 2015 representative to the Global GSEA Awards in Washington DC.
The honors presented—which included both the Lifetime Guardian plaque and an official Certificate of National Youth Development—were designed to spotlight Dr. Ogunsan’s extraordinary role as a bridge-builder for the next generation. For over ten years, Dr. Ogunsan has served as a silent pillar of strength for Nigeria’s premier youth leadership and entrepreneurship platform, facilitating innovation and professional growth among thousands of young Nigerians.
“Dr. Ogunsan’s leadership at the LSSTF is a testament to his capacity for national service, but his heart for the youth is what makes him a true ‘Guardian’ of our future,” Dr. Oyeniyi remarked during the presentation.
The delegation featured a “who’s who” of the Summit’s strategic leadership, including Dr. Emetu ‘Cosmic’ Kalu (Project Manager), Mr. Oluwatobi Kolapo (Manager of Volunteerism), Mr. Emmanuel Nwoye (Head of Strategic Engagement), and Mr. Chosen Onyegbula (Assistant Project Manager). Together, they celebrated the CEO not just for his new appointment by the State Government, but for his sustained history of empowering the JOI Foundation’s mission.
Visible moved by the gesture, Dr. Ogunsan thanked the team for the “unexpected and deeply appreciated” honors. He emphasized that the security of Lagos is inextricably linked to the empowerment of its youth. Closing the session on a high note, the CEO reaffirmed his commitment to the vision by pledging his full support toward the upcoming 2026 National Youth Summit, set to convene in the heart of Lagos in a few months.
